ANGER MANAGEMENT
For those who experience anger issues or have been convicted of a violent crime other than domestic violence. 12 to 24 sessions. Program content includes stress management, identifying anger triggers, communication skills, victim empathy, and power and control in relationships.

SUPERVISED AND THERAPEUTIC PARENTING TIME
Running Creek Counseling provides a safe and warm environment for parents with court orders to spend time with their child(ren). It also allows trained professionals to encourage parents to interact with their child(ren) in a healthy manner. The trained professional remains with the family during the entire visit.
Both parents are required to complete separate intakes and orientations by appointment only before visits can begin.
Copies of all court orders must be provided to Running Creek Counseling at this appointment.
PARENTING EDUCATION
S.T.E.P.- Systematic Training for Effective Parenting curriculum.
In this 8 week parenting program you will explore child development, discipline that makes sense, and communication with your child.
The program will also help you understand misbehavior and help you teach your child to cooperate.
ADOLESCENT SERVICES
In our Adolescent Substance Abuse Group, teens receive education on drugs and alcohol and on how to prevent a drug/alcohol relapse. Teens also learn how to manage anger and stress and learn decision making skills.
The adolescent Substance Abuse Group meets for 12 sessions.
Teens must complete an intake before attending the group. Parents must be present at the intake to sign legal paperwork.
COGNITIVE RESTRUCTURING/AWARENESS
Our Cognitive Restructuring/Awareness group is a personal development, self-awareness program to help you achieve success in life. It assists individuals to reach their true potential by getting rid of negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones. If you feel like no matter what you do, something bad always happens and you have no way to change it, this program will assist you in gaining control over your life and making positive changes.
